The goals of the administrators, faculty, and staff members of AIIAS
are as follows:
To provide students with a high-quality educational experience in an environment
conducive to intellectual inquiry. Students are expected to become familiar with research
and problem-solving methods, to demonstrate the ability to synthesize knowledge from many
sources, and to be self-directed lifelong learners. Graduates will be capable of
independent research and implementation of findings.
To ensure through the provision of time and release from responsibility that faculty
engage in such activities as research, scholarly writing, consulting, and practice that
contribute to enhancing the quality of instruction. Faculty are expected to be well-versed
in scientific methods pertaining to their disciplines.
To assist students in reaching a high standard of excellence, as well as practical
relevance in their chosen professions. Inherent in this process is the promotion of
spiritual growth, a healthful lifestyle, a sense of self-worth and self-confidence rooted
in Gods work of creation and redemption, a recognition of the brotherhood of man,
and a respect for diverse cultures.
To commit resources to the solution of church organizational and community problems and
issues. This public service commitment to the church and society is to be achieved by
providing academic and professional programs both on and off campus, conducting seminars
and workshops, serving as a research and information center, engaging in consultative and
change-agent roles, and providing an environment that fosters innovation.
