          It is my pleasure to welcome you to the web pages of the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS). AIIAS (pronounced “I-Us”) is a graduate level educational institution of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
          This is a great university with a wonderful heritage. The alumni of the master and doctoral programs of the seminary and graduate school hold prestigious positions in various parts of the world including university presidents, world church education and pastoral leaders and health professionals. Alumni continually praise their experience at AIIAS. 
          While rigorous in its academic program, the atmosphere on campus is one of family and spiritual nurture.
          The heart of this institution is its faculty. They are godly, professional people, highly qualified and committed to excellence. AIIAS is blessed to have an outstanding faculty, nearly 90 percent of whom hold doctoral degrees from world-class universities around the globe.
          AIIAS is blessed to have attracted quality students, many of whom have been honored teachers and church leaders before coming to AIIAS. Their presence on campus has helped develop a community of scholars contributing to a very engaging learning atmosphere. In addition, AIIAS provides an international elementary and junior high school to support the campus children.
          I am impressed with the diversity of faculty and students at AIIAS, with representatives from every continent on earth (except Antarctica!), including over 45 countries. 
          The founding motivation for establishing this institution was to create an international level institution of higher learning in the Asia-Pacific region that could meet the needs of the Seventh-day Adventist church by providing educational opportunities at a very reasonable cost for those seeking a high level, faith-based education. 
          I am proud to say AIIAS is a school of excellence. AIIAS is recognized by the prestigious International Association of Universities. In addition, AIIAS is fully accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), based in Maryland, U.S.A., as well as numerous Asian accrediting associations. We can praise God for this affirmation of international quality.
