The AIIAS Community was drawn to biblical passages about embracing values, transmitting wisdom, encouraging close relationships, and obtaining spiritual virtues and revival.
Dr. Zdravko Stefanovic, Professor of Theology at the Department of Health and Biological Sciences, Adventist University of Health Sciences (ADU), Orlando, Florida, was the AIIAS Week of Prayer speaker from February 5 to 11, 2017. He spoke about “Better than Gold” referring to wisdom in the Old Testament.
“Be open minded to the true wisdom that comes from God. Let us never believe that we know everything. The answers are with God. There’s so much in life that we don’t know about,” urged Stefanovic. “A good characteristic of a wise person is, he or she will never stop learning. No matter what life situation it is, a lesson could be drawn from it.” He continued.
Stefanovic advised the audience to study the Bible thoroughly for life applications from the time it was written up to the present time. He also shared stories and pieces of humor in between his topics.
"I must say, he is one of the best story teller and speaker I know. He presents truth and deep theological views in a very simple, at times humorous way that even young kids would understand. Praises to our God for Dr. Stefanovic's priceless wisdom and great knowledge in the Bible and life!" said September Ranarez, a student from the Education Department.
“The golden rule: we know it, we repeat it sometimes but it’s so hard to translate it into action. Do unto others what you would like them to do to you.” concluded Stefanovic.
