AIIAS is pleased to announce Ricardo Adolfo González Astudillo has been chosen to be the AIIAS Theological Seminary Dean. Dr. González, a native of Chile, is an alumnus of AIIAS. He graduated in 2008 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Religion degree.

Pr. Solly Faamoana Tingiia (1966 – 2016), a doctoral seminary student at AIIAS from the Solomon Islands, died on January 5 due to complications from cancer. A funeral service was held on AIIAS campus that evening.

AIIAS Theological Seminary Dean Professor Richard Apelles Sabuin, PhD presented his inaugural professorial lecture on Monday, February 1. His topic was "True or False: Biblical Foundation for Historicist Approach to Revelation is Inadequate". His area of study is interpreting revelation.

Dr. John Brunt, an Adventist veteran pastor and educator, shared a lectureship focused on preaching from January 28 - 30. Pastors from AIIAS and surrounding areas joined together to learn practical pointers for those who are interested in learning how to improve their preaching and communication of God's Word.

More than 250 educators, researchers and practitioners gathered in AIIAS for the 16th AIIAS International Conference on Business, Education, and Public Health to discuss various topics on the theme of wholeness. Environmental crisis, vegetarian diet, teaching and learning trends, are among the topics discussed in the two-day conference which involved 38 presenters.
