Required Qualification and Skills

 

 

  1. Hold an earned doctorate in education
  2. High level of proficiency in written and oral English
  3. Be willing and able to teach in a variety of modalities on campus, in AIIAS distance learning centers, and online
  4. Be willing to work with students and faculty from a variety of cultures and ethnic backgrounds in an international setting
  5. Have a vibrant Christian experience and be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church in good standing, and model a healthy lifestyle.

Preferred Qualification and Skills

 

  1. Hold an earned doctorate in Education with emphasis in Education Administration, or Research and Evaluation or Curriculum and Instruction
  2. Have prior teaching graduate and undergraduate experience
  3. Have prior experience advising students in theses and dissertation research
  4. Have a record of scholarly production
  5. Have a significant service record
  6. Have a record of an active professional development life
  7. Have an active consultation record
  8. Have demonstrated experience in research advising with quantitative and/or qualitative research experience

Required Work Experience

  1. Have a successful teaching experience in tertiary or graduate level for at least 5 years
  2. Have a minimum of 5 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education
  3. Have demonstrated experience in research advising

Preferred Work Experience

 

 

 

  1. Have a successful teaching experience at the master's or doctoral level for at least 3 years
  2. Have a successful academic graduate research supervision and mentoring student research
  3. Have a record of academic engagement in research and publications
  4. Have prior experience in online teaching and blended learning
  5. Have experienced living and working in a multicultural or cross-cultural community

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  1. Teach graduate courses on-campus, at distance learning centers, and online
  2. Engage in academic and research advising
  3. Be active in a range of scholarly activities including a record of publishing traditional discovery research, integrative application and curriculum development studies
  4. Actively participate in service activities
  5. Engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular responsibilities as assigned by the Education Department or Graduate School Dean
