NTST 560 Gospels

About the Course

A study of the four Gospels, including introductory issues, the theology of each Gospel, analysis and exposition of selected passages, and consideration of the essence of the gospel message for the Church.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the students would have:

  1. Analyze scholarly views on the origin of the Gospels
  2. Determine key theological themes in any Gospel periscope.
  3. Effectively analyze and interpret texts in a way that is faithful to the text and builds faith.
  4. Appreciate the life and ministry of Jesus.
  5. Apply constructively the skills gained in theological discourse. Reflect the character of Jesus Christ

LEONARDO G. NUNES, ThD


Dr. Leonardo G. Nunes has served in pastoral and academic ministry for 30 years—10 years as a church pastor, and 20 years as a seminary professor, vice-dean, and dean in Brazil, the United States, and the Philippines. He holds a ThD in Biblical Studies from Andrews University and currently serves as Professor of New Testament at the AIIAS Theological Seminary.

KIM PAPAIOANNOU, PhD


Dr. Kim Papaioannou has served the Lord as a seasoned Pastor, educator, and administrator in different countries for several years. His expertise in the field of biblical studies has greatly impacted many Seminary students at AIIAS, where he served to teach for many years.

ALFREDO AGUSTIN Jr., PhD


Dr. Alfredo G. Agustin Jr. is one of the members of the Faculty of Religious Studies (FRS) at Asia-Pacific International University (APIU) in Thailand. Prior to that, he served as an associate professor at the Theological Seminary of Adventist International of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) for several years. He comes with more than 25 years of seasoned experience as a field pastor, a university lecturer, and an administrator.
