The course examines values, tenets, and concepts that are essential in building the financial management skill sets of the students. It studies value creation through sound financial management decisions as applied to educational institutions. The course is grounded in ethical Christian values.
For every 3-credit course, a student should count on at least 9 hours spent reading and reflecting, for discussion forums, application papers, projects, and other requirements. Instead of the face-to-face meeting, the three hours of the class meeting will be spent participating in online forum discussions. This means that students should plan on spending between 3 + 6 hours, that is, at least 9 hours a week.

RONALD J. SANDOVAL MAITRE, PhD
Dr. Ronald Sandoval Maître is CEO of RMK Consultancy and a former CFO in higher education and international development. With extensive global teaching and leadership experience, he is passionate about making finance understandable and practical, helping learners connect academic knowledge with real-world challenges and opportunities.
DAVID LUMOWA, PhD
Dr. David Lumowa is an Assistant Professor in the Business Department of the Graduate School at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), Philippines. He teaches courses in Financial Risk Management, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Entrepreneurship. He is a certified Broker, Underwriter, and Investment Manager. Dr. Lumowa earned his Master of Commerce in Applied Finance from the University of Queensland, Australia, and his PhD in Business from AIIAS. With nearly two decades of teaching and research experience in finance, he also serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Asian Qualitative Research Association (AQRA) and as a committee member of the Asia Pacific Research Center (APRC).
KEPHA PONDI, PhD
Dr. Khepa Pondi is an Assistant Professor at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS). He earned his PhD in 2018 from the same institution. His academic and teaching expertise covers a wide range of business and management disciplines, including Research Methods, Applied Research, Corporate Finance, Corporate Accounting, Strategic Management, and Quantitative Methods for Management Decisions. Dr. Pondi is committed to equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them to make informed and strategic decisions in the field of business and management.
