The colloquium meets four times a year and is led by Biblical Studies Department (BSD) faculty members in collaboration with the Biblical Studies Student Association (BiSSA) Vice President for Academics. Over the years, the series has featured guest speakers from external institutions, though most of the presentations are delivered by AIIAS faculty and students.
The Exploring Sacred Scriptures Colloquium Series is an initiative of the Biblical Studies Department (BSD) launched in 2022.
Its purpose is two-fold:
To explore relevant topics from a biblical perspective using sound methodology;
To provide a venue where students and faculty can present and develop their own research.
