CHMN 551 Field Evangelism

About the Course

This course is offered in connection with a field school of evangelism. The first week offers classroom study of the skills for personal evangelism. The other two weeks are an in-residence study of basic planning, budget building, church participation, advertising, audio-visual aids for public evangelism, and dynamics and techniques of evangelism in which the students will participate.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:

  2. Uphold the need of equipping members to carry out ministry within the scope of the local and global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist church.
  3. Enable leaders to exercise creative and visionary leadership as a minister and servant of Christ.
  4. Empower ministers to discern the needs, spiritual gifts, and potential of others, to equip and engage in their God-given ministries.

Dr. Victoria Aja is an associate professor in the Applied Theology Department of the AIIAS Theological Seminary in the Philippines. Victoria worked as an adjunct lecturer (Religious Studies Department) and full-time Chaplain at Babcock University / Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria before joining AIIAS in December 2017. Victoria holds the title of Board-Certified Chaplain. She strongly advocates for Clinical Pastoral Education to provide meaningful pastoral/spiritual care to church members, patients, and students.

James Park is the original developer of this online course. He is an experienced pastor and professor who has been actively engaged in discipleship, church growth, and missions. Before his retirement, he served AIIAS as the director of the Seminary Online Learning Program as well as the director of the Master of Arts in Ministry.
