With deep gratitude, we honor the faithful service of Dr. Richard Nelson—Vice President for Academic Affairs, Graduate School Public Health Department professor and former chair, and former VP for Advancement—as he prepares to return to the USA to be with his beloved family. We will truly miss seeing him on campus with his gracious wife Anna and their energetic youngest son Michael.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Eufronia “Puring” Javier, who has faithfully served as a library custodian since the very beginning of AIIAS here in Lalaan I, Silang, Cavite. Her kindness and accommodating spirit have blessed countless students, faculty, and visitors.
We are delighted to celebrate three of our Academy teachers, Mrs. Jesame Francia; Mrs. Jisty Dana Tapeceria; and Mrs. Leonila Vinculado, as they transition to regular employee status, an achievement that reflects their dedication and commitment!
We are also pleased to warmly welcome back Ms. Aimee Grace Tapeceria. She first served AIIAS as an Institutional Writing Assistant from 2012-14 and later taught for a year in the Academy, and as of August 1, 2025, has assumed the position of Director for Public Relations.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Bruce and Laura Sumendap. Bruce’s expertise in public relations and marketing ensured that AIIAS was always represented with excellence and gravitas wherever he went. Laura’s cheery presence and willingness to help will be missed in both Admissions and the Library. As a power couple, they also contributed significantly to the musical life of our campus. Laura and Bruce, we pray that God is with you as you get used to your new home, and that you will be happy and fulfilled there.
