The AIIAS International Research Conference (IRC) is an annual gathering of thought leaders, professionals, and academics in the field of business, education, and public health. This conference offers unparalleled opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, and promoting innovative ideas that will shape the future of business, education, and public health. This year’s theme is “Knowledge, Innovation, and Integrity in the 4th Industrial Revolution for a Sustainable Future”, and we expect over 200 attendees, including keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions from across the globe.
Is a dynamic and extensively trained cancer surgeon, Robotic & Laparoscopic GI surgeon. He has a rich clinical experience of more than two decades and has previously been associated with some of the top hospitals in India. He completed his Fellowship in GI and HPB Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai & MSKCC, New York. He is proficient in performing some of the most advanced cancer surgeries like HIPEC & PIPAC. Dr. Gaikwad has authored several articles for both national and international publications. He also specializes in GI and HPB Surgical Oncology and Peritoneal Surface Oncology. He presently leads a team of organ-based surgical oncologists. He has also been the first to start a hepatic artery infusion pump chemotherapy program in India.
Is a pathologist & professor at the Department of Transfusion Medicine at the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India. His medical training was at CMC Vellore following which he did a Pathology Informatics Fellowship in the US. His areas of expertise include design and development of laboratory information systems, image management systems and Hospital Information Systems (HIS). He heads the Biomedical Informatics Unit (BMIU), a multidisciplinary team that supports collaborative research and exploration of emerging computational technologies in healthcare at CMC. He was the Organizing Chairperson for the CMC National Symposium on Health Data & AI at CMC earlier this year. He coordinates two national Proficiency assessment schemes in Haemostasis & Transfusion Medicine. He served on the board of ICCBBA, which maintains ISBT128, the global standard for traceability for Medicinal Products of Human Origin. Dr. Joy also consults for the State and National Blood Transfusion Council and WHO SEARO for blood transfusion related services.
His excellency is the former vice chairman of the people’s consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Chief of Territorial Affairs. He is regarded as one of the TNI’s leading intellectuals. During his appointment as commandant of the Armed Force’s staff college and Chief of territorial staff of the TNI think tank, he was responsible for restructuring the political and security doctrine of the TNI. He once served as governor of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute and member of the Indonesia – Timor Leste Commission of Truth and Friendship. He is a senior fellow of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Indonesia, and was a visiting senior fellow of the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies in Singapore. He is also an advisor on the board of the Institute of Peace and Democracy (IPD), Udayana University, Bali. IPD is the implementing authority of the Bali Democracy Forum. Gen. Widjojo has written numerous articles on security issues in the Asia-Pacific Region.
With nearly two decades of progressive leadership in the global healthcare and diagnostics industry, Roger Tilaar has a proven track record of driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading organizational transformation. He has held senior leadership roles in renowned multinational corporations including Abbott, Beckman Coulter (Danaher), Johnson & Johnson (Lifescan), Qiagen, and Roche Diagnostics.
His core expertise covers a broad spectrum of business and operational leadership, including P&L and general management, talent transformation, market expansion, distributor and channel management, product launch and commercialization, healthcare policy engagement, commercial operations, sales and marketing leadership, diagnostics and medical technology, strategic partnerships, and supply chain and operations. Currently serving as General Manager at Abbott Indonesia, Roger leads high-performing teams, fosters strong stakeholder relationships, and implements strategic initiatives to advance healthcare access and innovation.
Dr. Arnel D. Zamayla is a Filipino computer engineer, educator, and artificial intelligence researcher currently serving as Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Mechatronics of Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). He also leads the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR) and Fab Lab Mindanao, and serves as the Executive Chair of the Fab Labs Philippines Network. Dr. Zamayla completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science at Università della Calabria in Italy, with specialization in Artificial Intelligence. His doctoral research, titled “Arsenic Ore Mi/ture Froth Image Generation with Neural Networks and a Language for Declarative Data Validation,” He served as a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Tennessee (USA), focusing on additive manufacturing and machine learning. He further honed his research expertise through a funded internship at Curtin University (Australia). Dr. Zamayla has led government- and industry-funded research on smart manufacturing and defense technologies. A published scholar and recognized educator, he actively reviews for prestigious AI conferences such as IJCAI and ACM CIKM. Through his leadership in the maker movement, he champions innovation ecosystems across the Philippines.
Dr. Maria Cecilia Torres is a licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian in the Philippines with over 20 years of professional experience. She currently serves as the Program Chair for both the undergraduate and graduate programs in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila. She is also a consultant for the Philippine Society of Sports Nutrition. She holds multiple professional credentials, including being a trained Diabetes Educator, a Certified Sports Nutritionist (Canadian Academy of Sports Nutrition – grant recipient), and a Certified Fitness Professional under Exercise is Medicine Philippines. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition as a scholar at the Philippine Women’s University, and graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Public Health major in Preventive Health Care from Adventist University of the Philippines. She was also awarded with Asian Graduate Research Fellowship at the National University of Singapore. An accomplished researcher, she has authored several published works and has received recognition for outstanding research papers in the Philippines, ASEAN, and Korea. She also serves as an external peer reviewer for a Scopus-indexed journal.
Dr. Eugene Rex Jalao is a Professor and Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Program of the University of the Philippines – Diliman.
Zeno L. Charles-Marcel, MD is privileged to serve God through caring for people as individuals and in organizations. His service is characterized by variety and personal challenge: medical practice, public health, healthcare administration, academia, private consulting, medical ministry, business and entrepreneurship, NGO work, media and public speaking, writing, research, innovation, disaster relief and medical missionary work.
He engaged in formative studies at four universities: McGill (Biophysics), Howard (Medicine) and Loma Linda (Internal Medicine residency) and the University of Arizona (Leadership and Health Diplomacy). He is a lifelong learner at the foot of the cross and through formal and informal courses selected to “improve his service. He co-founded the first academic Lifestyle Medicine Fellowship in the US, and has served as a medical missionary in India, the Middle East, and Latin America.
He has learned a lot from serving in administrative leadership in US governmental and denominational systems, overseas mission hospitals, lifestyle centers and academic programs. He is a former Dean of Health Sciences at Montemorelos University and holds adjunct faculty appointments at three universities.
