Theological Seminary Welcomes Two New Faculty

AIIAS is pleased to announce the arrival of two new faculty in the Theological Seminary, Dr. Gheorghe Razmerita and Mrs. Diana Razmerita from the Republic of Moldova.

 

Gheorghe serves as the associate professor in the Theological-Historical Studies department while Diana serves as an instructor in the Biblical Studies department of AIIAS Theological Seminary.

 

Gheorghe holds a PhD in Religion, Church History, and Systematic Theology from AIIAS (2006) and a Master of Arts in Religion, Systematic Theology from Andrews University (2001). Diana holds a Master of Arts in Religion, Biblical Studies, Old Testament (2006) and a Master of Arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction (2008) both of which were from AIIAS. She is currently working and finalizing her Doctor of Literature and Philosophy in Ancient Near Eastern and Old Testament Studies from the University of South Africa in Pretoria, South Africa.

 

Prior to their arrival at AIIAS, Gheorghe served as a professor in the Historical-Systematic department, School of Theology, Adventist University of Chile (Facultad de Teología, Universidad Adventista de Chile). There he taught courses in church history and systematic theology. Concurrently, he served at the same university as director for the Masters in Mission program, a master’s program that has a special emphasis in theology and health. He has previously served as a professor in the Theological-Historical department in the Theological Seminary of Adventist University of Africa (AUA) in Nairobi, Kenya; assistant professor, Theological-Historical department, AIIAS; district pastor in South Moldova Conference, Moldova Union and assistant professor of theology at Moldova Union Seminary, Moldova Union.

 

Diana served as an associate professor in the Biblical Studies department of the School of Theology at the Adventist University of Chile (Facultad de Teología, Universidad Adventista de Chile) where she taught courses in the Old Testament. She also served as the director of the Creation Resources Centre, tasked with providing resources and support in the study of origins. She has previously served as executive secretary to the dean of the Theological Seminary and assistant librarian at AUA. They are blessed with a son and a daughter, Edmond Cristian (17) and Edna Daniela (15), who are currently with them.
