AIIAS welcomes new faculty members in the Seminary! |

Dr. Oleg Zhigankov comes to the AIIAS family from Tula, Russia (Soviet Union). He has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church as Editor, Pastor and Seminary Professor in Russia from 1993 until 2005. There he taught Applied, Historical and Systematic Theology in the Zaoksky Seventh-day Adventist University in Russia. From 2005 he served in Ontario Canada as a Pastor and District Coordinator. This October 2011, we have been blessed to have him join the AIIAS family as the newest faculty member in the Seminary.

An Evening of Cultural Explosion! |

The sounds and rhythms of drums in the distance, and the clashing and clattering of bamboo stems were two of the things that heralded a culturally explosive evening on November 19, 2011, on the AIIAS campus. Eleven communities presented that evening, depicting aspects of their culture as a way of showcasing the uniqueness of their island, country, region or continent. The event began at 6: 45 pm with the parade of flags of the 66 nations represented by AIIAS students.

On November 19, 2011, the church acquired a beautiful piano for classroom A1 of the Auditorium. The piano was purchased by money donated by the parents of the Korean members of the AIIAS Church Orchestra together with funds from the church music department and equipment budget. This piano will meet a long time felt need to have a piano and a practice room in the Auditorium.

The Festive Health Festival Weekend |

The annual health festival weekend was held this year during the weekend of October 21-23, 2011. The program was held under the auspices of the dual role of Dr. César Galvez as Chair of the School of Health, and Health Ministries Director of the AIIAS church. Dr. Galvez together with fourteen of his health ministry’s students was able to host a very inspiring, insightful and interactive weekend, which focused heavily on how the Adventist Health message can be used for revival and reformation.
