Required Qualification and Skills

 

 

  1. Earned Doctoral Degree in Applied Theology
  2. High level of proficiency written and oral English
  3. Willing to work with students and faculty from various cultures in an international setting
  4. Have a vibrant Christian experience and a member of Seventh-day Adventist church in good standing

Preferred Qualification and Skills

 

  1. PhD in Religion with emphasis in Church Leadership and Ministry
  2. Ordained SDA Minister
  3. Prior teaching experience

Required Work Experience

  1. Pastored a variety of local congregations
  2. A minimum of 5 years of denominational field experience in pastoral ministry

Preferred Work Experience

 

 

 

  1. Actively involved in a wider ministry (Conference, Union, etc.)
  2. Successful teaching in tertiary or graduate level for at least 3 years
  3. Mentoring student research.
  4. Record of academic engagement in research and publications

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  1. Teach Graduate Applied/Practical Theology courses on-campus, at distant learning centers and online
  2. Academic advising of graduate student research including thesis, projects and dissertations
  3. Active in research and publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals
  4. Participation in outreach and public service activities
  5. Responsibilities as assigned by the Seminary Dean or Academic Vice President
